ARTIST STATEMENT

I create art focused on the idea of perception, initiated by my background in psychology, as explored through distorted reflections and exaggerated use of color. My painting is influenced by Edward Hopper and Lucien Freud’s high-color renderings of figurative forms. My work generally is often focused exaggerated views of the everyday.
